After Aishwarya Rai and Nandita Das formed jury at
Cannes, it’s the turn of wildlife filmmaker Mike
Pandey to join the club. Pandey, who is currently
judging the Amazonas Film festival at Brazil,
becomes the first Indian to be selected as the
Preseident of the film festival. On till the 10th
of this month, the festival is a celebration of both
non- feature and feature films from around the
world. The delhi – based filmmaker is a three time
Green Oscar winner and his film, The shores of
Silence is the only film in the last 65 years
that has spurred legal protection for the whale
shark. At the film festival, special entries include
the Robert Redfort – Jennifer Lopez starrer An
unfinished life and Roman Polanski’s film
Oliver Twist.
